We can assist you with planning your Alaska luxury vacation by coordinating day trips or activities.

There is a 40 acre lake (100 miles, core sampled at 14,500 years of age) located at the Matanuska Lodge. Alaska bed and breakfast guests are welcome to canoe, paddleboat, walk the trail around the lake, enjoy a picnic and all the natural wildlife including moose, swans, loons, and a many varieties of birds and ducks.

In the spring and summer, the Alaska wildflowers are waiting for you. In late August, there are lush blueberries available to pick as you walk the trail. In the winter, there are snow machine trails, as well as cross-country skiing in close proximity to the Lodge. The hot tub is a delightful way to spend the evening as you stay warm in the cold and enjoy the beauty of the stars and the Northern Lights.
